Scientific antiques and vintage items are not a frequent find and have no catagory on this site, and thus I had to make-do.

This copper sink was found in an old scientific supply house in a run down part of town. The supply house had been closed for many years. It was filled with many vintage and a few antique items. It was a fabulous shopping experience. I regret that I did not purchase more.

This sink has a copper body with detachable cast iron enamel cabriolet legs. It came with glass beakers and accompaniments. The sink is enclosed on all sides with a built-in funnel on one half of the top that goes completely through to open on the bottom side releasing all liquids into a receptacle below. The side has a spout which I believe is meant to release water from inside the sink for heating or cooling purposes.

    I love old scientific.
