Mum's china tea set

I've inherited this china tea set from my mum. I'd love to learn more about the maker and origins of it. The initials H J are clearly shown on the back of each piece. The saucers have a gold ring in the middle as well as on the outer edge. The underneath of the saucers within the rim is quite rough as if they didn't come cleanly off the kiln drying process.

The set of 2 cups and saucers, milk jug, sugar bowl and tea pot sat in the glass fronted corner china cupboard - this cupboard moved with my mum to her town house and has come to me when my mum passed away in 2013.
