I have a plastic camera that my grandmother let us kids play with. I never thought of it as being a real camera, but it is a simple point and shoot design with plastic lenses; hence, not very good quality & why my g-ma gave it to us kids. Still, they rate as a collectible.
Probably not after a bunch of kids played with it ! LOL !! Nothing is kid-proof !
Seriously, were the cameras bad & that is why my g-ma let us kids play with it?
Was it ever a functioning camera?
According to McKeown's, these plastic Cinex Deluxe "minicams" used 127 film for 16 exposures and were available in grey or black plastic, with chrome or black for the faceplates. Circa 1940/1950 (different sites list different dates) and evidently made in Chicago. Simple point and shoot design with plastic lenses, hence, not very good quality. Still, they rate as a collectible.
