    Any insights would be appreciated. I inherited this when my father died. For a long time growing up it was in a box ... in parts. My dad reassembled it and glued the seat back together since it has split.

    So I think this is a Windsor rocking chair. Not sure of a date or what I should look for to date it. It does not have the Hitchcock lettering but seems to be that style.

    The arms are screwed in the back. This is the only metal. I do not see nail or screws otherwise. Just spindles glued in place.

    Thanks for your help and pointing in me in the right directions.
