This horse is heavy, but not sure what it's made of? I'm guessing plaster. It stands about 15.5 in. tall. There are no markings on it. Would love to know about it. When it's from and what it is? Thanks.

Can't tell you where it's from because it has no maker's marks. These figures usually date to around the 1940s/1950s. Sometimes used as carnival giveaway prizes. The horse is a Palomino. This is chalkware, which is made from plaster. I have a chalkware German Shepherd on the same kind of base. It's only purpose is to look nice. :-))

Thank you...that's what I wanted to know. What these were called. I have never heard of chalkware, but I do recognize the other items you linked me to. I can't find any horses like this one though. Wish I could.
