I am requesting as much information as possible for this doll, I have no clue the tag on the back says copyright 1965 made in Japan. Ad Sutton & Sons New York City is the label. He appears to have a sailor's cap blonde hair and a hand painted face, meanwhile his body is stuffed and the clothes are not removable. His head is made of a very hard plastic and is perfectly round. Any help would be appreciated and I would like to thank you in advance.
Sailor in plaid....that is odd. Maybe the Japanese thought this is how a Scottish Sailor ought to look!? The character does not look at all familiar to me. Maybe a NYC local character on a kid's TV show?? A mystery that should be fun to solve!
