Next to the CD 154 Hemingray-42, the common H.G. CO. beehive that is dome embossed with the bold H is one of the most commonly found pieces in America. You will search through scads of them in aqua or blue aqua before you will find a single green one of these.

This specific insulator I pulled out of the mud on the Hocking Valley rail line back in 07' along with the milky Gayner. The pole was mostly submerged in mud with the top arm partially exposed. On this arm were 5 of these H.G. H domers along with Hemi-42's. 3 out of the 5 H.G.s were plain aqua, one was a true green with fizzy bubbles and then there was this one, a true lime green. When you set this one beside an aqua, it just jumps out at you.
I have lived beside this line for 23 years and have hunted 30 miles of it and have never found another green HG H domer on it since. They are pretty rare....

Green is good. Finding it for free even better.

Absolutely! It was a hot summer day when I found these 2 greens I mentioned but what boggles the mind is that there's still MORE insulators buried under the ground today than above soil. Can you imagine what's still left out there if you can find it??? Some of the most rare and exotic pieces imaginable!
