Hello everyone.
Love this necklace....have had it for at least 10 years.
It is choker length, 16 inches and has marcasite stones studded along the whole length of the necklace.
It is not marked silver anywhere so will call it silver tone metal.
I does up with a spring ring clasp into the other ring, which is actually formed as part of the necklace....not a loose ring. This ring has writing on it and I hope someone might recognize it or be able to decipher it.
Would appreciate your thoughts as to the age of this one as well please. Thanks very much, Judy

Very Pretty --- Part of it looks like it says either:
~ SDM .....or S.D.M
~ SDMT or with periods also ????

I love the way choker necklaces look when they are worn so cool.
This necklace is lovely, Judy. My money is on it being silver. Just the way the marks look tell me it's most likely silver.
Looks like RUN SDM. The "D"might have been a "P" at some point and just worn away over time.
Agree with Efesgirl...it most certainly is Silver and I see the same letters. RER

Thanks Bonnie.....glad you think it is most likely silver.....I have tried almost every combination of letters trying to find it!!! The closest I got was SPM being the mark for J.SCHNELWAR....but it doesn't look like their sort of jewellery and of course there wasn't a picture of the mark to look at!!! That still leaves the RUN to decipher...possibly there should be another letter or two before that!! Thanks for your help and the love.....much appreciated and I will keep looking every now and then.

The ring on your necklace is marked Sterling Germany (partial marks).
