Hello!
I hope someone can help me with this odd item.
I have been interested in collecting random drug artifacts, little bottles of old medicine, tobacco tins, etc. As you can tell, I don't know much about it- I simply find stuff and add it to a drawer. :)
I came across this very neat drug diagram. It shows its from the 70s- it appears to me that it was used in a school/university setting to describe drugs. Many of the drugs listed are no longer called those or exist on the "street"
Does anyone have any guidance you could provide on where to get more info on this?
I have tried searching for the companies name online- the company went under in the 80s. The authors name is not to be found any place. Its a very unique piece that I would love to find more information on.
Thanks a ton for anyone's help! I hope I can find someone that is fascinated with this as much as I am for help.
Take care!
-Marcos
This was used in presentations by Narcotics Officers back in the 70's/80's. My father was one and he would have these and other items on display to inform kids/teachers what drug paraphernalia looked like.
Marc,
That is so very interesting! Its exciting to hear how these were used. I had a feeling it was a DARE type program or a pharmacist.
Thanks a ton, I appreciate it!
this is awesome!
