This famous old Phillips 66 sign became part of the aaaLakeside Storage Museum over a year ago when we spotted it from I-40 down on Old Route 66 as we were returning from picking up a load of signs in Las Cruces NM. As you will learn if you read the article about the old Budville service Station, it is a very famous old sign. We finally just bought the old Visible GB gas pump on our last visit to Budville a week ago. The pump has been there since 1928 and we are thrilled to have them displayed together in the Lakeside Storage Collection. What a great/fun Hobby!
Olebodie,
The Museum is a personal collection we display at aaaLakeside Storage in Provo Ut. We've only been collecting this stuff for under 3 yrs but we are loving it and pretty aggressive hunters. The fun is in the hunt and we never pay retail as that takes the fun out.

We have been very lucky and very OCD and the combination has worked well. We also have been fortunate to find a few good Picker friends that scour the Country for the good deals. Unfortunately, it has been getting much harder lately as our sources have been drying up. I also confess that it really helps that we love the Hunt! We have really enjoyed making lots of new friends along the way. Great Hobby!

Very cool you got the gang back together the way it should be:)
Trey,
Agreed! It was almost painful to remove the big sign and then later the original gas pump from the Budville station on Route 66, but putting another piece of history in a real Museum seemed better than letting it just disappear and no one ever hear about it again. We get a little bit "mushy" about the history of some of our old signs and pumps and the Budville stuff is right in there!
