This is another charming little sterling or 800 silver antique that has been in my family for many years. It is a very small booklet (4.5 cm long and 2.5 width)used by women at formal dances in the 19th and early 20th century.Ladies recorded the names of gentlemen with whom she intends to dance with during the evening. Long string was attached to the booklet so ladies could wear them on their wrist or attach them to there gowns. The front of the booklet has embossed flowers the back has the Eiffel Tower and Tour Eiffel Paris written underneath and what looks to be a Dirigible and a hot air balloon in the sky!How delightfully charming some customs were back then.
