6 inches long. The cap is a little over 1 inch wide. It is hollow and made from some type of metal, maybe tin?

My guess is a poison pendant. (Does it have a bale?)
No bale. It does not have a pin to attach it to anything. I was wondering if it was a hair stick? Stumped.

This may be a mussie tussie, although I have never seen one this small, must be for single flower....
I looked up what the mussie tussie holders looked like. I thought that was a good guess but my item does not have a handle, ring, or chain. And it has a cap. Doesn't seem to match. ??
I can see solder on the side of this where a pin or other attachment may have been....Familiar with these, and there is really no other explanation for this piece. Unfortunate if it is not silver...
It also may have sat in a stand...Not all were worn
Good eye mrcolorz. I searched again with lapel pins in mind and found "scent pin", "perfume pin", "snuff pin" and "sewing needle case"....the search continues!
