Hello, thank you for looking at my item! I was wondering if anyone knew any information about it? I love to collect honey and bee things! My family owned a honey shop and my Dad had a honey bee farm and harvested our own honey to sell at our shop when I was a little girl. My love for all things related to bees and honey have continued to grow and to this day I enjoy collecting. I purchased this item off Ebay for $11.12 USD, its roughly 3" tall and 2" wide across the bottom. Its a light amethyst color (I believe due to "Sun Purple"), this item according to the Ebay seller was a "Dig Jar/Pot" he found it in the dirt. It has a rolled top lip that is not even lol, it has a large triangle on the bottom with the numbers 107 in it. The glass is pretty thick considering its small size, on the front it has an embossed bee hive with some...? letters on it maybe BF or BE; not sure, the seller told me they thought it might be a ink pot. There are bubbles in the glass, and there is a very large uneven area inside the jar/pot on the bottom. Ive never washed it and neither did the seller. That's all I know! I wish I knew more, maybe you can help me out :) I think its super cool regardless of value or purpose! Thanks for looking and for any information you might know-

That bee hive is almost an exact copy an early Revolutionary War era coin from New England. I think maybe NH. Only lead I can think of & maybe from that area. Maybe they knew their history. Did the seller say where he dug it from ?

      Correction. Look into Mormon emblems.

The bottom (what may be a maker's mark and mold number) of it and colour (indeed, sun-purpled, typical of 1890s-1920 bottles) tell me it's 1910s, but the lip of it make it look a bit older. If you could find out the age of other items dug where this was, then you may find out an age-range for the item.

The size and shape made me think of ink bottles: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/bottles/ink-bottles
