This beautiful hummingbird brooch came from my late mother, one of her many exquisite pieces of antique jewelry. She was a novice gemologist and avid antique collector. I wish I had paid more attention when she was telling me about each piece! What I do know is it's 18 kt gold (on the end of clasp), yellow sapphires, rubies and blue sapphires. I have looked for similar items to determine the era and designer, no luck so far. If anyone has seen anything like it, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

I think your beautiful humming bird is 60's/70's, very popular animal theme then.
Oh so pretty ! and Welcome to CW :-)
Just a beautiful brooch - and what a surprise discovery to think you owned 1/2 a jewellery mine! Love it.
Thank you!
I'm with kyra on the date - 1960s. The honeycomb style of stone mounting on the underside is pretty distinctive, with some more research you may be able to ID the maker. Research figural 18k pins/brooches from that era and look at mountings, - good luck and keep us posted.
