Happy 4th Of July!!! This is a oil portrait on board that I found in a local shop. It is not signed and the original owner's name (I think) is on the label affixed to the Back of the painting. It appears to be the original frame.
Measures 36 X 32 in the frame.

Great character in the portrait!
Frame appears to be 20th century, while the painting (copy?) would appear to be much earlier.

scott, I believe that the painting is very old. There has been some in painting on the forehead and crackling throughout.
Celiene, The tag is difficult to read. It has a female's name and address. I cannot decipher the last name. May say St. Louis...not sure.
