Ok I find this 24"x35" painting tucked into a corner of a garage of an ESTATE sale of an older womens home that had passed away in Florida. I liked the frame!! It is signed P P A or P D A. On the back turned over you can clearly see yet another image of a matador, maybe the practice one because it's on the rough side of the board. Colors definetly give it that mid century vibe. Its got this tacky ribbon pasted to the edge. It fell out of the frame, which I still have. I would love any information you can give me on the artist. We are planning a move in just 2 weeks to Florida and I would love to find someone to take this off my hands before that move but I don't want to do something stupid like sell for the $10 I paid if it's worth more. My husaband is a quadraplegic and we need all the financial HELP we can get. Thanks. Bonnie
Whoops, intended to tile Signed, not unsigned. sorry for the confusion. There is either PPA or PDA on the bottom right corner of this painting. I am no expert but I believe its charcoal with oil background on some type of heavy board. Hope someone out there can help. Thanks.
Looks to me like what is called "shed work". Done by a hobby painter.
Humm, that just may be it. I have heard this term used before. It has detail so I believe someone that is "into" this type of art or death of bulls may want this. I am not a fan as I can not wrap my head around the stabbing and gore and cheering! I don't judge others for what they do or enjoy but this is just not my cup of tea if you know what I mean. Thanks for the tip. Bonnie
I hate bullfights. That dark ages custom has to gooooooo......
