    This came from an estate sale...think it is made of brass and has two pinbacks...on the back is inscribed E 23 Made in USA.

      It’s the distinctive unit insignia of the 101st Ordinance Battalion. The shells on either side with the round grenade in the middle is supposed to evoke the number 101. The design was approved in 1966. The unit served as part of the US Army in Europe throughout the Cold War.
