This painting is on hardboard (masonite) and was done during the 70's to promote this album at some record store. the first store to start using this type of art was Tower Records in Sacramento California. Other stores used this style of advert' during the 70's and early 80's.
It is now a forgotten art and I am excited to own a piece of history. Especially the BLUES BROTHERS!!!
The painting measures 6ft x 6ft and is hardboard stapled to a 1x2 and 2x2 frame.
I have not been able to find the artist and it seems I will not find them as there were many who came and went in this sideline industry. ( billboard sign painters for record stores)
