This medal or whatever it is, was given to my great grandpa as a gift from a Russian ambassador. ?t's been told that it's an emblem of a Russian functionary that was killed during ww1 and that it's value is high. If anyone knows what it is and it's value please contact.
I'm having trouble finding anything similar.
What does the backside look like? Are the holes supposed to be there? Got any further info?
Google image search: russian wwi double eagle badge(or medal) There are many. Look to find one like yours.

Celiene, I just tried that, with many different search words. Can't find any alike. It doesn't look like it's supposed to be on cloth to me. The holes are strange too.
Yea the holes are suppose to be there.
I did not find anything like it.
