These are also HUGE! I think they are almost 24" tall.
Google: GWTW lamp marked GIM 3083 you will find MANY.
Good lord - does no one even TRY anymore???
I actually did do that, and found it's probably a Fenton Gone With The Wind, but I haven't been able to find one like this. I was trying to identify what year and confirm Fenton.
I also couldn't identify if they were all this large or not.
this type lamp was often sold in big box store c1960s-70s. I bought a similar floral painted 26" tall lamp in the late 60s at a Kmart and shown in my posts here. Doesn't have a Fenton look to be but if you want you can look thru the many catalogs at fentonfan.com
Oh thank you TallCakes! This is the information I was hoping for, a source to be able to see what this is. I love it no matter what, but want to know age, etc.
Thank you again. I will take a look.
I did notice that some attribute this to Quoizel, a lamp maker since 1930s. I don't know if there is any way to really confirm that tho' unless maybe someone at the company has some historical data.
1967. Not sure if Fenton without googling. Sometimes artists signed hand painted Fenton items. But each were hand painted - only the violets is common to a particular artist. You need to look at the LAMP itself = the foot & shade rest what is marked GIM 3083. Fenton only made the GLASS, not the lamps themselves.
Fenton didn't start painting items until the 60s. (Maybe 50s)
It seems to be Quoizel Lamp see here (which I googled):

Here is one with your EXACT shade shape - with the squat upper rim neck. All the others have taller necks.

Thank you Celiene! I looked through the pics and that seems to be the one. Had the same markings underneath as the http://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/l159-vintage-1967-nu-3083-quoizel-gim-brass-match-159-c-6335988f32. The only difference is that mine has the light piece for the bottom globe too.
Thank you for helping me solve the riddle. So Quoizel Lamp it is. Much appreciated.
I did confirm my says GIM 3083-1967.
I also looked at several mentioning the possibility of maybe being Quoizel. EBay listing (or WP, which is also eBay) are not trusted confirmation of any attribution, however.
Makes sense. The link above had lots of pictures so I compared to those. The inside of the glove is identical, pure white. The underneath on the base is identical, so I believe you've given me the right information. Thanks again.
Any idea what is a good Quoizel website?
Try the Quoizelsite.
Going to check it out.
Do you still have these lamps? We have four of them, and are trying to do our whole house in them. They're not Fenton. I've tracked down every known copy of these in existence.
@keighinSJ123, I have two of these lamps in green. If you are interested, please let me know! dchawkins@yahoo.com
