I collect tea cups. I love my collection of various tea cups. This specific cup was given to me approximately 25 years ago from a dear friend. At the time, she told me that it belonged to her mother and that it had been in the family for at least 50 years. It has no markings and I don't know anything else about it.
I would love to know more about it, such as: Manufacturer, circa, etc...
Can anyone assit?
Thanks
This miniature cup/saucer may have come from one of a number of small porcelain producers, probably in Germany. It looks very much like E. S. (Erdman Schleglelmilch) porcelain, and the style is art nouveau, dating it to around 1900 - 10. E. S. used the twig handle design extensively. Hope this helps.
not that is what I call a duo...gorgeous....shusenhousens all over your miranda blooms...IMHO
That twig handle gets used a bit, I've seen it around on a few amarcus....was that a trend across time or just a style like Dresden makers?
oh I hate this spell check...I meant to say
now that's what I call a duo....I love it, it's gorgeous....
