    Does anyone know what this lid is that goes with this pitcher (I think they go together) and the era it's from? At first I thought it was a lid to a chamber pot, but it has an opening below the handle, so I dismissed that thought.

      Does the pitcher usually go with the chamber pot as a set?

      At a closer look, are the patterns identical? The lid is definitely for a chamber pot but the pitcher could be part of a bedroom set, perhaps the same set. Such as this:
