This is a large green chemist round with a ground stopper marked with an acid etched "Broad Arrow" to the lower rear. Also, there is a red wax seal of the British Admiralty that partially reads "Medical Depot Deptford" along with the Admiralty anchor. It is, 22.8 cm in height and 10.1 cm in diameter across the base (9 X 4 in). The seal is attached to a paper label, which is all but gone now. Thanks!

That's a great bottle with stopper. Would this have held something like medicinal rum?

Hello! No, I don't think it held a medicinal rum. It might of contained an isopropyl alcohol or an antiseptic solution. The Royal Navy did have large black glass bottles that held lime juice along with rum and opiates. These bottles had a royal cypher attached to the shoulder of the bottle and only the ships surgeon could of administered the ration for medicinal purposes. (GR-WR-VR) monarchs. Thanks!
