This was my grandmother's colander. I'm not sure how old it is. I haven't seen too many like this one. It has 6 star design.

Most likely mid-century. Google: aluminum 6 star design colander
You will find many of them.
I have a plastic one now and after seeing yours, mine has to go !~
I have one. It is not as well cared for as yours!
