This lovely watch is 18k Gold. It has a lizard leather band. Is there a way to tell what year this model came out? I am unsure how to take this back off? Might someone know?

Movado backs require a special tool to remove. Trying to remove it yourself may actually result in your damaging it.

Dating Movados to specific years can be tough in that the company does not publish serial number charts for dating purposes, and are less than helpful if contacted about the information.

The Museum Watch, your design, has been a long running model.

These are great watches.... I bought mine at a yard sale for $2. :-)

      Hope this helps.

Thank you! It says 167 on the back of case

That is not the serial number, so not much help.
