There's a beautiful story to this. This sewing machine was my grandmother's and after she passed my mom went and picked it up at my aunt's house. It wasn't well taken care of that's why it's missing the middle drawer. I learned how to sew on this machine when I was 12yrs old. I went to live in Mexico for two years, but during that time I returned to take my things out of storage. I couldn't lift the sewing machine so I left it in storage thinking my daughter was going to pick it up. Later on I found out that she never went. I was very upset and I called the storage place every time I came to town. This was in 2009. Then in 2014 I was moving again and needed storage for my things. I called the storage place and made an appointment for a Saturday. I kept thinking about my grandmother so I rescheduled for Monday so I could go take flowers to her. Monday morning I went to the storage and I was telling the man my story about the sewing machine. He came out and said he had the sewing machine and it was still in the same unit exactly how I left it, except dusty. I asked if I could have it back and how much would it cost. He said we would talk about that when I was ready to take my things out. About two months later I went to get my things out. I asked about the machine and he said he unlocked the unit so I could take it. No charge. I started crying and I thanked him. The storage unit was next to my current unit. I strongly believe my grandmother wanted me reunited with her sewing machine.
