Rubina verde, cranberry cased in vaseline with an applied blue swirl, 8" tall, marked "Made in Czechoslovakia".
I see this piece as somewhat transitional between Victorian and Art Deco design sensibilities.
This example is a piece of production by Franz Welz Klostergrab. Although the threaded examples like this are quite uncommon, the shape is seen in a couple of other décors by Welz. Great example.
Would it be OK with you if I copy your images to use on my reference Czech glass website?
to welzebub - Thank you for your help. Yes, you may copy my images - I'm happy to contribute.
Thank You very much. I appreciate it a lot. Always glad to help. Great piece!!!
What a wonderful piece of glass.
What a beautiful vase - I love this decor.
Here are a couple of other examples of Well documented Welz decors on the same shape. The decor on yours appears on a different shape in a Welz production literature page from 1928.
