An interesting vase straight from the thrift store. I looked at it for awhile, then said "what the heck". It had no label, but it seemed to have a quality about it. With a texture on the outside that follows the pattern. Got home and did some homework. Found two on eBay, one showed a picture of the label. "Handblown by creative Artisans, Margies Garden, Westlake Village, CA". The two on eBay aren't all that cheap, in fact, one of them doesn't know what it is and has it listed as a "Kralik". I got a chuckle out of that. It's a good looking vase, well made and worth having.
Thanks for stopping by.
Thank you Vetraio50, Aura and Nordicman for the "Love it" clicks.
The reason you see them posted occasionally as Kralik is because they were claimed for a long time by a Kralik researcher, to be by Kralik..... and internet myths really never die once they start.
Thank you Welzebub for the rest of the story on the Kralik listing. I never thought it was that fine of a piece. But I do think it's nice, that's all. Thanks.
Thank you Blunderbuss2 for the "Love it" click.
Thank you OneGoodFind, TrudiCakes, Sklo42 and LovelyPat for the "Love it" clicks. I appreciate your interest, I think if some of the other folks actually held this in their hands, they would see that it's a cool piece.
Hi Deano - I have a slightly different vase in green. No marks or stickers. I like mine too, even if not Kralik or Monart - they were certainly influenced and are well made. If you have time please take a look at mine & tell me what you think. Cheers! - Bob
