I got this in the same yard sale I was at - in Shelton, Wa.
I picked up a total of three baskets there so if you see another one from me you will know. The guy said he asked them at the local Tribe museum and they said it was authentic but not from their area.
I also have a superb beaded jewelry box if you run across it. Shaped like a heart with turquoise and coral design. Thanks for any help.
Not Native American. This basket is Mexican, from the Toluca Valley region of central Mexico. If you want to confirm, see the Burke Museum's on line data base of their collection of Toluca baskets.
