Vintage Chinese Bangle bracelet~Engraved Gold Metal Accents & Safety Chain Closure. No marks.
Flea market find for 2 EUR. I am always suspicious about bracelets with safety chains and also this was heavy and nicely done. Also the closure is hidden in ornaments, which I like a lot! I was amazed when I googled these bangles and found out that they are chinese and that similar bracelets were made from jade and gold and also that they cost hundreds of dollars. Mine is not jade - not that I am expert in this but I never saw blue jade - looks like glass to me as there is air bubble. Dunno about the metal, no marks. I hope I will meet the jade version one day :D
This beautiful blue is very appealing, even if it is glass :-)
You may test it for metal, as the closure is not as on the cheap ones...

It is Jade. Jade comes in pretty much all colors of the rainbow. Some rarer than others.

Thank you guys! I tried it with a loupe against light and true there are some darker points inside here and there. Also the material is heavy and does not warm easily. But - air bubbles?
Celiene, did you ever meet this colour? Are the pieces sometimes dyed blue?
Celiene, even if blue jade can exist, it doesn't have bubbles in it... :-)

It's certainly an amazing shade of blue, lentilka. Hard to say what that material is from the photos, I would guess if those are air bubbles then it is glass, as kyratango says. Beautiful!

It's hard to tell from the picture but I think mine has the same metal parts - minus the safety chain (it was missing).
