One of my latest charity shop finds is this pair of sterling silver earrings for £1. I believe the stones are citrine, smoky quartz and crystal - the varieties of crystalline quartz. Of course I might be wrong, but I don't think the stones are glass - there are no bubbles, but I can see tiny imperfections with a magnifying lens. The earrings are 7.8 cm long and marked 925. I will never wear them, my earlobes are not pierced and anyway it wouldn't suit me because of its length but I like them very much.
If somebody can post additional info it would be appreciated.
That was certainly a Pound well spent! I'm sure they're modern. They are really pretty. I wear glasses and drop earrings look ridiculous.
:-))))
Yep, Bonnie, this was my guess too - they are modern. Personally I rather prefer old stuff - but always happy to find newer fine jewellery, if it is bargain! Sadly it doesn't happen often.
Thank you Celiene and Bonnie for your loves/comment :)
martika - I also prefer the old stuff, but if the price is right then I'll take the new stuff, too! LOL
Lovely find, Martika!
I don't wear long, dangling earrings, but I would have bought these also. Very pretty!
Beautiful Martika!!!! long or not, I would have bought them too!!!
Kyratango, Toni, Tassiedevil and Valentino97 - thanks for your nice comments, appreciated. I'm sure I saw very similar jewellery somewhere, but I don't know where!
Thank you everybody for your love clicks !!! xxx
Possibly 80's. But hard to tell/great buy !
Thanks PhilDMorris for your nice comment!
These are from 2000 or later, a few well known designers make them, museum stores, and no name makers at discount stores, too. Home shopping TV channel is currently offering several designs in a similar style.
Thank you David! Now I know where I saw similar style jewellery - at http://www.gemrockauctions.com website.
