I waited so long for finding a genuine lavender jade piece!
You encounter so much stained jade or glass so called lavender...
I went for it from the seller's description and pics, which showed an almost grey opaque hue on some and translucent lilac on others!
He said tests for natural jadeite on presidium gem tester.
Vintage, 69 jadeite beads 8mm, 14k spacers, 27" or 68.58cm, 62 grams, got it for 115$ :-)
My pics, taken without flash and out of direct sunlight gave what you see in pic#1.
Pic#2 is same as in person, I only lower the color balance on the editor. p
Pic#3 is to compare with a same size Cape amethyst beads necklace, but the real color are not showing :-/
Cape amethyst is more colorful, jadeite in person is more greyish.
Pic#4 is to show together an apple green jadeite necklace and the lavender one worn together, interior light!
Pascale, these are beautiful, love the colour!! Happy for you to have finally got some.......well done!
Judy, Thomas! You were so quick to love and leave such nice comments! I was editing the pics to show contrast with the green one :-))
Thank you both!
Beautiful - and worth every single penny!!
And they look beautiful together!!!
Bonnie, I'm so very happy to finally get one I have to agree ;-)
I recently bought online too a green jadeite choker basing on the color on the pics ... Upon arrival, it was so dull, I had to return it for refund, as price was far to high for this poor color. This lavender is an example of how difficult it is to capture the true color of jadeite!
Judy... Thanks AGAIN!
Very, very pretty, the colour of the jade beads are stupendous.
Gorgeous !!! xo
Compliment and greatings from Berlin, Germany

I love the lavender beads -- so hard to find! And so hard to get ones which aren't dyed or otherwise treated. Wonderful find!

Lol.....I wondered what that meant!!! Thanks Pascale. I would like some of that......
