Great hat and a really great buy!
That is a SUPER FIND -- as you can see the 4 legs on the Deer...so it is a older logo. Yours is from around 1936 to about 1950.

My dad gave me a John Deere cap and I let a buddy hold it and his dog chewed it up!! So I told dad and he was mad!! And then he snickers and said tell will that had cost me 25,000 dollars! I said what!! and he said they have it to me when I bought the little John Deere tractor LOL!!

My dad was a trip!! he was always cracking jokes and making people laugh:) we were buying cattle In Alabama one time and he was standing in the ring with the auctioneer and some of the sellers he bought from and he just drank the last sip of his trademark scotch and water and the auctioneer said somebody get this man another drink he has spent a bunch of money and dad said Sh$t yeah and pour it and stir it for me too!!and the whole place just busted out in laughter:)
