vaselineal…
(88 items)
I believe that these ball footed stems were made by Harrach pre-1900. I have found may similar examples of inkwells with clear iridescent glass and also some other misc. shapes. A friend of mine pointed out a similar shaped glass with clear ball foot that is shown in the Harrach museum. To my knowledge, I have not been able to find any other vaseline examples.
Would you call these champagne stems?
They measure:
5 3/4" tall, 2 1/2" across base, 2 1/2" across mid bowl and 1 1/3" across top opening.
5 1/2" tall, 2 1/3" across base, 2 1/4" across mid bowl and 1 1/2" across top opening.
The measurements on each example vary slightly within about 1/4".
The last photo shows a similar specimen that I believe to be a reproduction.
