nice solid old George 11 ball knopped dram glass with rough snapped pontil
    dating to circa 1760.
Amazes me how these old glasses survived the many years of handling and maybe being dropped a few times.

I'm really enjoying seeing these old glasses you have posted. I too wonder how they survive, and am interested in the techniques and styles they used.

      Hi racer,
i have plenty more to post but if you know what to look for you can pick them up for very little because to the average person they are heavy looking, may ressemble a cheap moulded glass but to the trained eye they are works of art and can be spotted easily and if you collect for profit are easy money.
In New Zealand where i live because of the immigration of English and Dutch after the war they bought these old glasses with them and for a collector like me is heaven.
when i find some time i will give some tips on how to easily identify these glasses but it does help if you have a passion for glass.
      cheers
