DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT LANGUAGE THIS IS PLEASE AND IF SO CAN YOU HELP WITH THE TRANSLATION .
IM NOT SURE IF IT IS A PASSPORT OR SOME SORT OF ID CARD , THE GENTLEMAN LOOKS TO BE IN UNIFORM .
FROM THE DATES ON IT , IT SEEMS OLD .

Yep, Thai - now for the fun part. I THINK Thailand uses the Buddhist calendar, and I believe those last lines are dates. So...98-99 would be about 1954-55. The Uniform seems to be of a US Army Ordinance Officer, but he has minimized the insignia on his uniform to just the essential.
Uniform would match that '54-'55 era
2498 - 543 = 1955.
2499 - 543 = 1956.
The dates are April 21 1955 & 20 April 1956, I think.

In Thailand we don't use BC year
This year for us is 2559
So 98 in the book,should be the year 2498 (about 61 years ago)
His name is Mr.John (something,I couln't figure it out)
He is an American
Btw,he was a police (from the position they wrote down before his name)
Ok,his name is Mr.John M.Oskent (I am not sure for his last name because
In thailand people will write down what they pronounce
And our English prononciation is not good LOL
In the book he was 47 years old.

The first section is the date that he renewed (they used the old thai language,it would say "the date that they allow him to renew)
7 June 2499 (7June 1956)
The second section is about the exspiration date of this book
6 June 2500 (6 June1957)
The last section shows the signature of the person who authorized this permission book!
