    I love this photo of these two. The little one is so adorable -- unaware of her (?) surroundings and happy to be perching on the lap of the other child. It looks like a vintage photo, was very nicely framed so I don't want to take it out, but I can't really tell. Does anyone recognize the image?

      Looks like a random personal photo that was framed - not of anyone in particular. Perhaps 1940s, give or take.

      It's a great photo. They look poor by the clothes and shoes, and it's as if the older one knows life is hard, even when a photo is being taken. The little one hasn't got there yet.

      Diane Arbus and someone else that just slipped my mind after Diane popped into my mind. Reminds me of some of those famous images, but could be unknown which would explain the absent signature.
