Large dramatic bowl on three buttressed legs - this bowl has a diameter of about 9" (24 cm) and stands a little over 5" (13 cm) tall. The legs sort of read as black but are actually a very deep cobalt blue, the exterior of the bowl is a plain, unornamented canary yellow, and the interior is a lava-like swirl of orange, black, and green on the yellow background.
I could make an uneducated guess at the maker but I'd rather hear it from someone else.
this is a stunner!
I get these wrong all the time! My first guess would be Kralik but I can be soooo wrong sometimes! :-)
Does the interior include black? - Or is it, in fact, cobalt blue like the legs, which of course appears green with yellow behind? (i.e. Addition of only two colours - orange and blue?)
Love it!
Thanks to everyone.
The interior colors applied to the yellow ground are orange, black, and a sparkly olive green (with aventurine).
I would have guessed Welz, but what do I know?
I really like the contrast of the blue rocket feet with the bright yellow/orange colors in the bowl!
Magnificent!
Outstanding piece!
