This was in a box of stuff that I got but I have no clue what it is can someone tell me what it is. I'm really curious to know about this item the needles or nails or whatever they are they are sharp and it is pretty heavy

Never tried it, but would probably be good for tenderizing meat. I would use a new one though. LOL !!
People in Colorado probably use it for removing seeds....need not say more. RER
These are popular right as a holder for photos, part of the re-purpose movement.
Perfect for arranging flowers in a light weighted container, as it is heavy!
Always use mine in little child's silver goblet :-)

I have quite a collection of these that belonged to my great-grandmother who was quite the florist in her day; winning awards for her flower arrangements. They are heavy due to the bottom being made of lead so that they had weight to them to prevent tall or heavy pieces from falling over, and also would not rust the container they were in since it would sit in water for days at a time.
I have a few and they are painful to grab! I use mine to display old black and white photos. I've seen them used to display business cards in shops. Of course, the original use was as others stated..a frog to arrange and support floral arrangements.
Can be useful too for a fakir during his travels ;-)
