Found this turquoise plastic silverware holder a few weeks ago. No makers mark or other such to establish age. But vintage plastic just looks different from modern plastic. There have been attempts to reproduce the look mainly by those recasting plastic toy soldiers but it is always easy to spot original vs repro. Many think it is because vintage plastic contains lead. Plus it is that turquoise color popular in the 1950s. Anyway it is perfect for my set of Mountain Rose Rogers silver-plate from 1954.
Wonderful colour.....perfect for your cutlery!!!
Fort - I imagine you cooking, serving, dining at your house, and nothing used is earlier than 1970. Such fun! Is it true?
Thank you very much TassieDevil. I think they were meant for each other.
Thank you very much racer4four. I am working on that. Last night I was going to use a graniteware sauce pan but the lid was hanging on the wall so I grabbed a new pot . Will be looking for more lids.
Thank you
