Just arrived. I love the cannetille type filigree jewellery, this seems to me so delicate and it was in my price range so when I spotted it on ebay I had to buy it. Has no marks, possibly it's an alloy with a gold wash (mostly worn off), but it isn't magnetic, so secretly I'm hoping maybe it's a silver?
I tried to date the necklace, early 20th century perhaps? Any idea appreciated.

Very nice! The fish hook clasp can date to the 1940s. The best thing to do is to have it acid tested for silver. I've found filigree jewelry to normally be 800 silver.
