I need some help identifying the maker of this glass. I've been checking Hazel Atlas, Ancor Hocking and Fostoria, and although some of them look similar, none looks the same. It's about 5" tall. I think it's a sugar bowl, but if not, please correct me.
I hope someone will be able to recognize this pattern.
    Thanks!

this is Hocking's 'Block Optic' pattern c1929-33 (before the merger of Anchor Hocking)... and thank you for admiring and loving many of my cake stands : )

Thank you, TallCakes! I didn't realize they were so old. It's a shame the other one has internal stress cracks underneath the handles, not quite sure how they could happen...
TC, admiring your magnificent collection was the most pleasant experience. I can only dream of one like this!

Sean, TassieDevil, Thomas, Fortapache, Robert- thanks so much for stopping by and your appreciation!

TallCakes, i just search the internet with this new info to find out more, and most of the pieces i see have pointy handles, and this one has rounded ones...and the body and base on most pieces have a more pronounced block pattern, but this one is smooth and wavy... is this a variation of the pattern? Is this uranium glass? Is this considered a "sugar" or "sherbet"? Sorry for the avalanche of questions. Thanks again.

Hocking made this pattern with different handles; so given what looks to be a matching block optic motif and other similarities I'm thinking this is also Hocking's.

Hi Roy, just noticed your comment. I've missed CW, too! Truth is, my work has changed and i don't have nearly as much time to visit CW as i did in the past. I do stop by when i have some time, but it's hard to enjoy it in a rush. I'm noticing less activity here =( ... where's Scott and Nevada?
    9. Caperkid, 7 years ago
Scotty as far as I know is still here but Nevada is gone left after the election. Thomas or Brunswick is gone as well not really sure why. I'm glad your back get a little worried when people drop off the radar. Hope your work is less in the new year. I don't have a cell phone and am not on any social media sites except this one and feel connected to a lot of members like you. Have a great week Anna.
