    In my previous post of the PRR Modern Motive Power booklet from 1948, I mentioned that the booklet mentions E units, GG-1s, K-4s and switchers. Many PRR locomotives survive (although many types were indeed completely scrapped) thanks to the history minded management of the PRR. The Railroad Museum of PA in Strasburg houses many examples of the locomotives featured in the booklet. Here is a surviving E unit, GG-1, Class B-1 electric switching locomotive and a K-4s.

      Lot of rivets in that last pic. ! Beautiful machines & really great that they were saved.

      4935 is a beautiful locomotive although I am partial to the E units. BNSF needs to make a AT&SF museum out this way.
