I purchased this heavy glass vase over a year ago at an auction but could not figure out who the maker is. Seems Italian, not sure. It is signed at the bottom , but can't barely read it. Measures 16.5 inches tall by 42.5 inches center of the vase. Please help ID

I found a very similar vase, this is the only pic on the internet that I have found that is even close, so I am searching for information as well. The vase I have has a different shape and is not signed that I can see. It is 18.5" tall and has a large polished pon tail on the bottom. any information would be greatly appreciated.
