This was my grandmothers & hung next to a window in her kitchen.
I have not cropped the photos to remove my helper Penelope - she likes to do her Vanna White impersonation & I usually crop her out...
I have no idea what happened to the thermometer for this plaque nor know it this is worth hanging on to... now that I am sorting through my husbands mom's items I can just imagine what my kids are going to think of the junk I have kept over the years........
I like the fact that it has "MADE IN JAPAN" printed on the back. The dates it to the 1940s or 1950s.
I especially love your cat, those three black patches on the head make her look very lovely :)))

When we first got her she was tiny (well FAT, but not as long) and her markings made her look not so cute (to say the least - I thought she was UGLY) my hub wanted to name her smudge. But as you can see she has turned into a very beautiful gal! I am proud to call her baby girl now days.
