Here's the paster, an advertising vehicle, for The Union Pacific's #4002, one of the line's famous "Big Boys". Built by ALCO, the first photo shows its majestic design, while the reverse of the card displays all of the engine's vital statistics.
Sadly, only a few of these behemoths still exist, with even fewer of that number being operational.
Thank you, Nicefice…I appreciate the love!

Good evening, jscott…thank you for the love!
117' 7" length !! I don't know about anybody else, But I'm IMPRESSED !!! That is a truly BFL !!
Yes, buss that length is impressive, as is everything else about this locomotive! I am fortunate enough to live near Steamtown NHS, where one of these resides. Though this image, and the accompanying stats are impressive, there is nothing like seeing one of these beasts in person!
I have some personally taken photos of the Steamtown around, and when I locate them, I'll post them…..
Thank you, Caperkid, I appreciate the love!
I have been in the cab of a Big Boy. There was a photo of 20 kids sitting in the firebox. The locomotive is insane huge. Sadly our local Big Boy has been taken away but it is being restored to operating condition by Union Pacific.
Thanks fort….hopefully your Big Boy will be back on the rails soon!
