Hey guys,
Picked this up at an auction. Can't find any markings but I saw another similar that appeared to be a bronze base or just metal?
Any ideas on the make, year and what it might be worth?
Thanks

Hi Elwood. I know this post is old, I hope you get this reply, I am curious about my lamp. Story as follows...
Bought same lamp as yours today at local antique market. Paid $1000 Canadian, asking price was $1295.
My mom recently passed away, she had the same lamp all our lives. My brother and I agreed that he should get the lamp after she died. Saw the one I just bought and had to have it, since I really loved the one mom had, and now my brother and I have "twin" lamps with sentimental value.
The crazy thing was I saw my lamp a few years ago at the antique market, and it was there again so I probably paid a little too much, cause emotions were involved and I figured this chance will only come once. Fate? Turns out the dealer had brought it home for a while, then tried selling it again, lucky me.
On the tag was written "Tiffany style slag glass lamp with cabin and stags". Not much to go on. No stamps or anything on either of our lamps.
My mom got hers from her father. I believe it hung at his cottage in Norland Ontario. My grandpa lived in Toronto all his life, and I found my lamp for sale in Barrie Ontario. As for dates, the cottage came into being in the 20's. I don't know if the lamp was new. There is nobody left to tell us.
So I would like info on this lamp too. Anything is helpful! Thank you all!
I will post a photo when I get home on Friday.
Elwood seems to be another post and run...!
Well, it was some time ago. Maybe he'll drop by. Meanwhile, any info is appreciated!
Kyra, the Ebay link you posted of the smaller version of the lamp was appreciated. It appears to have been painted, but it's cool to know that some small ones may be out there somewhere.
Thanks Farstar666, it gives at least an idea ;-)
