Clear cased over yellow lidded jar decorated with a black fired-on enamel floral frieze and banding. Jar measures about 4 1/2" (11.5 cm) tall without the lid, almost 6" (15 cm) with the lid on. The diameter of the opening is about 2 3/4" (7.4 cm); diameter of the base is about 2 1/2" (6.3 cm). The underside has an oval acid-stamped mark.

Is this the oval used by Loetz or someone else?

This oval has been linked to production by Palda, and is not the same oval as the one used by Loetz.

Thank you welzebub. I continue to believe that there is something to be learned from the markings.

It was actually Hosch, Craig - I thought I had another mark with a connection to Palda, but have been unable to make the connection so far.

Thank you very much. I noted in my last post that it is exciting to watch the investigations unfold - keep up the good work.

Thanks Warren..... I knew that..... I must have had a momentary memory lapse..... Old timers disease.... :-) Appreciate your correcting it though.....
