I got this..mmm...bucket/vase/pot/vessel at a garage sale for practically nothing.
It caught my eye with its unusual shape and texture. The glass has imperfections and particles in it, almost like someone used an impure mixture for making it.
It's about 6" tall and 7" in diameter.
Does anyone recognize the style? Is it old, or modern handmade/blown glass?
    Thanks for any help!

    *Thank you Karen for ID!

      Nice bowl Anna!
I think modern and Chinese. I have some little glasses very similar including the inclusions - I love them!

Karen, thank you for stopping by, your comment and love! I still can't find anything similar on the internet with this additional information. Are these such rare items? Where did you get yours?

I got them at a Homewares shop on the coast about 5 years ago - they have a watery look!
Not expensive and probably not uncommon. This style of glass is called pulegoso, from the Italian for bubble, puleghe. However I know when you search pulegoso glass mainly Italian glass appears.
It is made by additives to the glass to make it bubble and generally bicarb soda is the additive. As the glass heats it forms bubbles which are trapped then set in the glass.
The Japanese and Chinese glass makers really love it!

Karen, thank you so much for the info, and the bubble glass making explanation. Very interesting!
