I bought this pair of earings from a church sale!
There are 2 purple stones,and they are just glued in.
They are signed nothing.
I want to know what kind of these stones? (Or may be just some kind of quartz?)

Amethysts, the sort sold in hobby shops for jewelry making. Not original to the earring backs, as they appear to be silver. Check them carefully, as there might be tiny 925 stamps on the flat edges.
